Thanks. Its a very small parking place. I was lucky to get the last spot!
I think so
As I understand if they have their happy hours 👌
Probably better to
I have been to this restaurant many times but have only seen a mariachi there one time.
There are several segmented dining areas that could be closed off for parties I'm guessing.
Very good food, excellent service!
Food was tasty and fast. Loved the salsa. Service was sub par.
Service customer service was excellent food was spectacular
Rumors are that old owners are back. The food and service would validate that.
Great service and the prices are reasonable. The food was awesome too!
We had a big group, 38 people, tough job they did well, and the food was great, try the green sauce.
Love this place! Friendly service and great food.
I did like the food but I got a burrito and it was a square! A small one at that. Small portions. A weird thing I noticed was that for the traditional chips and salsa they allowed just 2 and additional refill was 1.99. I give this place 2.5.
I had been to this location when it was a different restaurant but heard it had re-opened after renovations. I was pleasantly surprised. The menu was pretty extensive, the food was served quickly and my favorite drink (which I'm picky on) was really good.
Good menu with lot of choices. It makes you optimistic that things will be good. It begins with chips and two salsas which is another positive. Unfortunately it ends there. The salsas come from a can and the chips were stale. My food came, (beef fajita burrito) and it lacked all of the stuff it was supposed to come with. Complaint to the waitress resulted in a bowl of refried beans being brought out. Not sure how that was supposed to work or make it better... the beans also tasted like they came from a can. The three small pieces of fajita beef in the burrito did taste pretty good but the rest was just unseasoned potatoes. I sat in a room with 4 tables. I witnessed 3 of the 4 send food back including me. No management came to investigate. No discounts on the check. Not close enough to the tourist district and not good enough to be for the locals. Just a matter of time before they close.
Solid service, food is great and authentic, margaritas are well poured!👍🏻
Quiet atmosphere, fast and friendly service, clean facility, I would recommend this establishment o anyone
Terrible food and worse drinks. Ordered a strawberry margarita and received a cherry slurpy with a week shot of well tequila. Not impressed at all.
Best Mexican food in wimberley......at least flies aren't everywhere like the other Mexican food restaurant in town.
My new “Go To” Mexican restaurant in the area.👍Hours are quirky, but when you’re in Wimberley, one should make it a “must try”.We sampled the chili relleno con picadillo👍, chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce👍 and shrimp and jalepeno poppers appetizer. Well done. Deliciouso❣️👍Margaritas are delicious!
Amazing food. Very busy place.
Ordered chili relleno filled with fajitas which was delicious and authentic. Also ordered shredded chicken enchiladas with green sauce which was also good. Price range was reasonable. Definitely recommend it.
My Husband absolutely gives the Chicken Chipotle a big thumbs up!The restaurant is in an old home with a quaint bar. The wait staff was helpful and food was served promptly.
Good food at a decent price. Nothing so special that'll jump out and grab you by your nuts, but the crunchy Taco plate is the talk of the town especially if you like things hard and firm kinda like my ex-wife. Typical Tex-Mex out here in Wimberley where there ain't a whole lotta choices so its like damn bro you better know what the hell you're doing! They do, I think. Kids love it, I love it, wifey loves it, and you should too!
Stopped here for a late night snack. I had a small shrimp cocktail, which was delightfully topped with some avocado slices. My friend ordered a bowl or tortilla soup. The waitress brought out a full-sized plate of chips, lettuce, etc. and he said, "Ma'am, I ordered the soup." She said, "This is FOR the soup." When the soup came out, it was a gigantic bowl, and the price was very reasonable. Looking forward to my next visit.
Food is reliably great. As a local it is our go to place for Mexican food. The service is good with considerate staff. Excellent each time we visit, whether for lunch, dinner or breakfast!
Cute little place. Indoor and outdoor seating. Small and quiet.
Not open when we went and it was only 5.
Decent food. The chips and tortillas were excellent and the green sauce was amazing. I did think that the portions were a little small but it wasn't very expensive so I would definitely go back.
Food is always good and the servers always keep the drinks refilled
Food is fantastic here. My favorite restaurant in town.
We came for lunch. Good food. Yes you seat your self, big deal to all the people whining. You get chips and 2 salsas, one green the other red. Not hot which is good in my book. I had a crispy tacos lunch special and thought the rice and refried beans were on point. So we're the tacos. You folks got to understand this lady is probably working a family business. Her service was fast enough and friendly in book. The prices are good too. Good flavor. Give them a try. I have tried many Mexican restaurants and I will say I would definitely try them again when in the area. They are good. 😉😊
Great salsa verde! Great chips. Great margaritas. Excellent, friendly service. Looking forward to going back for dinner.
Food was pretty decent. $5 for a chicken burrito. $3.50 for a nice cold beer. No complaints on the chips or salsa. Decor was pleasant and bright. Solid choice for a family run Tex-Mex option.
Awesome food awesome service! Best kept Secret in town! My new favorite location!
Careful when ordering take-out! We ordered fajitas with chips & salsa and we didn't get tortillas and salsa. We requested a partial credit the next day, which wasn't received well. Check your order before leaving...
Overall a pretty good experience. The food was definitely not over salted and that's a good thing. I would much rather add then to have it be to much to begin with. Place was clean and our waitress was nice. Our meal was out to us within 5 minutes.
Everything has been great but for the past 6 months its never open. Has the hours changed? There is a sign saying "yes were open" the gates are always locked .
Authentic TexMex in friendly atmosphere, good place for a quiet dinner.
Good Mexican food, good margaritas, cold beer, good prices and service . And best of all it is located right here in the thriving Metropolis of Wimberley Texas
I have been to several Mexican restaurants in the area. Although this lacks some ambiance, the food is great! I love the homemade salsa. Not too hot, but hot enough. This place has had several owners over the years. With this new management, hopefully they'll stick around.
The queso is addictive and both the red and the green salsa are fresh and yummy. We eat here several times a month. I think the Nachos Machos with the ground beef are particularly good. My husband favors the tacos. We often order the chile rellenos. The house margaritas are perfect for summer.
They seem to be quite busy right now on a Sunday afternoon. Really nice quante restaurant. The smells are wonderful. Let's eat. Wimberly Texas is so nice in the summer. Really hot but plenty of swimming holes to cook off and then come out downtown to eat! Yay!!!
San Angel has amazing breakfast at a very reasonable price. I've had a couple of different dishes for lunch and dinner, and everything has been really delicious. The spinach mushroom enchiladas are next level good! Probably the best I've ever had! The staff is super friendly, and the service has always been top notch. This is quickly becoming my favorite place to eat in town.
A very unique diner. The fish tacos are amazing.
Very disappointed. Called ahead to make sure that they were open until 8:30. Arrived shortly after calling, about 7:30. Sat in the truck for about 5 minutes waiting for a heavy shower to pass. Finally gave in and ran inside, just after 2 other couples. They were seated, we were told they were closed. We will not return.
Good food - good prices .
You know it's bad when you walk in and no one greets you. After a minute, a staff member told us to seat ourselves. We sat down and then waited over 5 minutes to have anyone acknowledge us (we must have been passed up over a half a dozen times). Finally our waiter greeted us (smacking his gum) and took our drink order. Getting our drinks took another five minutes (the place was 2/3 empty). The food was mediocre at best. And one more thing, we had to ask to get our chips.
The food was delicious and the waiter was friendly and professional! Will recommend this place
We are locals and we love this place! Their Margaritas are hand squeezed. If you are staying at Laura's River Lodge or Ramsay House or Ramsays Cozy Cottage, this is the place to go for great Mexican Food, Sweet Service and very close. Two miles!
Just had guac, cheese dip. Very unassuming restaurant, with nice variety of menu selections. Margarita top shelf was so, so.
My wife and I both loved the food and the service we would definitely recommend this place to anyone
Fantastic beef enchiladas and black beans. Tortilla soup could have used cilantro and lime, but was pretty good. Little warm inside without a/c. We had a good time though and would go back 👍🏼
Wonderful out of the way place with full bar and fast service. Food was good and filling at a decent price.
Wonderful
